Dear Grace Family,

As you are aware, Covid-19 is causing organizations to adjust meeting schedules, and Grace Bible Church is no exception. For the next three weeks, Grace will have online-only worship services. Currently, the Federal Government is recommending no gatherings of ten or more for the next eight weeks, so we may extend our online church services beyond three weeks. This allows us flexibility in case conditions improve. Please continue to monitor our website, social media, and emails for more information on the developing situation. 

In addition to online-only worship services:

• Because of the 8 week federal guidelines, all Grace programs, Sunday morning groups, events, and retreats are cancelled for the next eight weeks. Refunds will be issued by the church to those persons who have registered for paid events.

• Grace Community Groups (Home Groups) are encouraged to exercise wisdom in their decision to meet or not to meet.  

• Grace Employees are being allowed to work remotely if they feel uncomfortable coming to the office. Additionally, we are asking staff to explore ways to retool and redeploy all of our ministries as creatively as possible for these next 8 weeks. Please be patient with our staff. If you are at a Grace facility, please maintain current recommendations for being in social situations (specifically, keep a 6-foot social distance and wash/sanitize hands regularly).

• Mission Trips before June 15 are being cancelled (i.e. El Salvador, Central Asia, Belize, Germany).  Trips after June 15 are on hold for now (i.e. Honduras for SW and UK USA for Anderson Youth).

We also want you to know that your elders, pastors and ministerial staff are available for you. Should you experience a crisis, please call our Minister on Duty number at 979-693-2911.

Whatever the next two months hold for our in-person gatherings, we are confident that Christ’s Church will continue to thrive and even grow in the midst of these uncertain times. During such times of crisis and anxiety, while the world is gripped with fear, the people of God walk by faith. This perspective provides us with innumerable opportunities for gospel witness. Look for these moments! Speak words of hope in Jesus; serve sacrificially; pray for the testimony of our church; pray for the receptive hearts in our community, our nation, and the world. Let us be the Church in great courage and boldness!
