Grace’s Big 5 Outreach Opportunities

The Big 5 are not ministry "ends" but rather "means" for the greater goal of equipping our congregation for personal ministry. The Big5 events are designed to be a catalyst to building skills, confidence and experience so that our attendees can be exposed to personal ministry in a greenhouse environment. They do this alongside others who are new and experienced, with the purpose of moving towards a greater vision to reach our campus, community and world.

The Big Giveaway

The Big Giveaway is an annual tradition where we collect furniture, bicycles, and household items to donate to incoming international students who arrive in College Station with only a suitcase. Through meeting international students' material needs, we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus to mostly non-believing students who have the opportunity to go back home and share the Gospel to the nations! Country Fair

Country Fair is our annual fall festival focused on reaching our local community by providing a place for families, friends and neighbors to gather together in a fun, safe environment. It is an evening full of free food, game booths, a petting zoo, train rides, bounce houses, door prizes, and so much more. Our hope is to build relationships with those around us and invite them to be a part of the body of Christ.

Christmas Co-Op

Christmas Co-Op is an annual opportunity to serve and empower marginalized families in our community. During the Christmas season, new toys and clothes are donated and sold at a highly discounted rate so that families can purchase gifts for their children. Families who benefit from the Co-Op also serve and volunteer alongside our Grace families. Contact for more information.

Easter Parties

Easter Parties are a two fold strategy focused on giving attendees an opportunity to reach out to their neighborhoods or sphere of influence by hosting a children's party or adult dinner. Easter is an opportunistic time to build relationships within the community, and live out the Great Commission by loving our neighbors and sharing the meaning of Easter with them.

Grace for the City

Grace for the City will take place during the week of June 3-10.  There are three ways we will be involved:
Host a block party (anyone):  This can be anything from  a potluck/barbecue to a themed party… either way, invite your neighbors over as a way to reach your neighborhood.  Contact for details.
Community partnerships (grace groups, anyone):   Serve one of our non-profit partnerships, as well as learn more about what they are doing in our community.  We want to support non-profits partnerships in the community, so we will serve them.  Contact for details.
School Partnerships (primarily youth):  We will serve the schools in our community and surrounding areas as a way to continue to be a resource to them.  Contact for details
