Faithful to the Fatherless
Caring for orphans is foundational to God’s character and shines God’s love into a dark world. There are 107,000 children waiting for homes in the US, and 143 million living in orphanages around the world. And right here in Brazos County, 200+ children are in need of a safe home to live in. Some of us are called to welcome these children into our homes as adoptive or foster parents. Others of us are called to support those families and raise public awareness to the plight of orphans here and abroad.
Faithful to the Fatherless is a support group that is held at Grace Bible Church for those in our community that are working through the issues of wanting to foster/adopt, or those families in the midst of raising fostered/adopted children. They also run a foster pantry to help meet immediate needs (car seats, diapers, baby beds, etc.) for those who receive emergency placements. For more information, see: http://faithful2fatherless.com/
