Global Outreach

The mission of any church is the Great Commission of Jesus Christ:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
—Matthew 28:19-20
From early in its history, Grace has passionately pursued this mission through its unique priorities, such as student ministry. In the early 1960s, Grace made a bold commitment to support three missionaries (at a time when the pastor was sometimes at risk of missing paychecks). In the years after, Grace has held church-wide missions celebrations, supported and cared for an ever-growing number of missionaries that is currently around 70 families and singles, reached out to international students, and consistently given 20% of our budget to missions causes.
The Global Outreach Ministry exists to promote and support missions and Grace missionaries, and to engage everyone at Grace in the pursuit of fulfilling our mission in our lifetime. But, churches aren’t the only ones called to fulfill the Great Commission. We are all called to do the same. Everyone should take part in missions whether it be by going, sending, supporting or mobilizing! Being in a church that supports missions is only a first step. The next steps are up to you.
