What Should I Expect
When you come to Grace Bible Church, the first thing you’re going to notice is a lot of 20-somethings! With a strategic focus on the college students in our midst, it is our great pride that so many come to worship and grow in the Lord. This is not to say Grace is only for the young, and to be a vibrant body of Christ, it is essential that we have congregants from every generation! Our main services happen at 9:15 and 11am at each campus. There are also College and Youth services offered at each campus as well. Specific details await you on the Campus home pages.
Our worship is fairly contemporary and mainstream according to what you might find at most large, evangelical churches. We have a full band on all stages made up of gifted artists who are eager to inspire an energy-filled and heart-felt opportunity for the congregation to turn their focus and praise to God before we enter into our time of teaching.
Our dress can be defined as fairly casual. Remember, there are people of all ages and backgrounds at Grace, so there is no standard form of attire. Pastors who teach from the stage will typically wear jeans and a button down shirt (if that gives you an idea). You will probably feel overdressed if you are wearing a suit and tie, and you will probably feel underdressed if you’re wearing running shorts and flip flops.
Our Grace Kids ministry offers Sunday School classes for children aged 2 months old to 6th Grade through our Early Childhood, Elementary and Club 56 groups. At our Anderson campus the Early childhood classes meet at 9:15am and 11am, Elementary Sunday School meets at 9:15am, and Club 56 meets at 9:15am. At our Southwood campus the Early childhood classes meet at 9:15am and 11am, Elementary Sunday School meets at 9:15am, and Club 56 meets at 9:15am. At our Creekside campus the Early Childhood classes meet at 9:15am & 11:00am in the Kinder Wing, Elementary Sunday School meets at 9:15am in the Cafeteria, and Club 56 meets at 9:15am in the Music Room.
We have youth services available across all three campuses, gathering junior high and high school students together for a time of worship and teaching. The Anderson Youth meets in the Anderson Youth Gym across the street from the Anderson main campus on Sundays at 9:15am. The Southwood Youth meets in the Southwood Fellowship wing on Sundays at 9:15am. The Creekside Youth meets in the Cafeteria at Pebble Creek Elementary School at 11am.
We have multiple College Worship Services available across all three campuses where college students can come together and focus on finding and following Jesus. Anderson College Worship takes place at 701 Anderson Street across from the Anderson main sanctuary on Sundays at 9:15am & 11am, and Southwood College Worship takes place at A&M Consolidated High School across the street from the Southwood main sanctuary on Sundays at 11am.
