Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach
Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach's primary service is providing support to those in unplanned pregnancies. We guide them in assessing their options and assist them in applying for social services and finding health care. We also provide transportation to appointments when needed and at times provide housing with host families when a girl finds herself in an unhealthy or unsafe living environment. Our goal is to see children raised in healthy, stable and prepared homes where the parents place the child’s best interest before their own. Some women who receive our services feel that adoption would provide the best future for her child. We facilitate open adoptions where adoptive families can remain in contact with birth families to meet the child’s needs through the years.
Hope Pregnancy Center
Hope Pregnancy Center of Brazos Valley is an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His church. Embodied in its volunteers, Hope is committed to presenting the gospel of our Lord, in both word and deed, to women and men facing crisis pregnancies. Our volunteers serve in a wide varieties of ways as they deliver needed spiritual, educational and material support to our clients. Opportunities to support Hope through service include: crisis peer counselors, receptionists, mommy or daddy mentors, teachers, office support, fundraising events, and special one-time projects.
Founded in 1993 to combat gang violence in Bryan/College Station, Save our Streets has expanded with God's blessing to reach every area of our city. New doors continue to open, providing new opportunities for the dedicated staff and volunteers of S.O.S. to share the message of hope, love, and salvation with the hopeless. Today, S.O.S. partners with approximately 300 volunteers and over 75 churches and organizations to effectively take the love of Jesus Christ to the streets. We have regularly scheduled activities throughout the week, as well as various outreaches year round. We would love to have you join us!
Faithful to the Fatherless
Caring for orphans is foundational to God’s character and shines God’s love into a dark world. There are 107,000 children waiting for homes in the US, and 143 million living in orphanages around the world. And right here in Brazos County, 215 children are in need of a safe home to live in. Some of us are called to welcome these children into our homes as adoptive or foster parents. Others of us are called to support those families and raise public awareness to the plight of orphans here and abroad.
Jesus Said Love
Jesus Said Love shares the revolutionary love of Christ with women in the commercial sex industry by awakening hope and empowering change. They do this by sending out female volunteers to the clubs to visit with dancers before they go onstage. Volunteers are also needed for prayer, making care packages for the dancers, and many other opportunities. Please visit www.jesussaidlove.com for more information.
