The Unforgiving Servant

The Parables of Jesus were meant to teach the listeners about the values of the Kingdom. In the parable of the Unforgiving Servant, Jesus teaches that we have a God who extends mercy and forgiveness to the sinner to a laughable degree. God is able to take the debt of sin that we are unable to pay, and releases us from the burden of it. This parable teaches that because we have been forgiven so much, we ought to forgive much.

Scripture: Matthew 18:21-35
