The concept of salvation in the New Testament can be somewhat confusing. This is because salvation is actually a process that begins at the moment of conversion (justification) when God declares us forgiven and righteous. It continues until the believer is transferred into the presence of the Lord and endowed with moral perfection and an immortal resurrected body (glorification).  After justification, the expectation is for the believer to develop spiritually and is thus “being saved” (sanctification) from the sin’s power in his/her life and transformed more and more into Christ-likeness.
