About the Brazos Church Pantry

Grace, along with about 30 area churches, has been serving the elderly, disabled and disadvantaged people of Brazos County for over 20 years through The Brazos Church Pantry. The Brazos Church Pantry is a community vehicle for you to care for others, and there are a variety of ways that you can get involved. Be a regular pantry volunteer or just for special events. Some people work only three hours a month. Volunteer work may include but is not limited to any of the following: helping unload truckloads of food from the food bank, carrying food to cars for clients, interviewing and praying with clients and washing floors and windows.
  •  Bring Food and Supplies  to the Anderson Campus on the last Sunday of each month and leave in the large basket in the foyer. Inside the baskets are brown paper bags with detailed lists of items needed. You can also deliver directly to the pantry building at 304 West 26th Street in Bryan. Types of food accepted include: pasta, rice, canned and boxed goods, peanut butter. Types of supplies accepted include: diapers, shapoo, soap, feminine and cleaning products.
 
• Mail a Financial Donation to the pantry. All the money donated to the Brazos Church Pantry goes toward the purchase of food unless the donor specifies another use. Inside the large basket in the Anderson foyer are pre-addressed envelopes for your convenience. The Church Pantry is located at 304 West 26th Street, Bryan, TX 77803.

• Volunteer at the Pantry for short time slots during the week. Contact Linda Ralston at 450-8321 if you are interested.

• Pray for the Hungry and the work of the church pantry.

• Be on the "Grace Cares" Pantry Committee . Jobs include, but are not limited to: church food drives, transporting food from church to the pantry, communicating with church members through the bulletin and announcement slides.

• Refer those in need to the Church Pantry.
