The staff of the Children's Ministry at Grace exists to partner with parents to lay a strong spiritual foundation in the life of each child. Director of Children's Ministry Bev has a background in ministry and Christian education. She has taught in several Christian schools heading the Humanities departments. She has also served in several churches in the education departments, women’s ministry, and youth. Bev and Rob have three children and one daughter-in-law, all in college.
Connie Ealy
Senior Coordinator, Children's Ministry Connie Ealy helps to coordinate the Children’s Ministry here are Grace. She originally attended Grace as a college student in the late eighties, then returned with her family in 2000. Connie is the mother of four elementary through Jr. High School-aged children, and has been married to Clark for sixteen years.
Jenn Chalmers
Coordinator, Early Childhood Jenn has been involved at Grace Bible Church for the last eight years and has worked in children's ministry since 2005. She has been married to her husband, Matt, for six years. They have two boys, Rylan and Tytus.
Christy Koenig
Coordinator, Early Childhood Christy has worked in Children’s ministry at Grace since 2005, and enjoys seeing the changes that occur physically, emotionally, and spiritually in all of the children that come through the program. She cares for and coordinates everyone from babies to the college staff that help her run the nursery. Christy has three children, Jordan, Craig, and Leah with her husband of eleven years, Jay.
Katherine Powell
Director, Kingdom Kids Preschool Katherine Powell serves as the Director of Kingdom Kids Weekday Preschool. She has been working at GBC in Children's Ministry for eight years. Katherine and her husband Brad have three children: Patrick, Margaret and Christopher. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, travel and rooting for the Aggie Baseball team.
Trich Thomas
Assistant Director, Kingdom Kids Preschool Trich has a background in elementary education. She has taught for many years in the public schools and has been with Kingdom Kids for the past four years. She has been married for thirteen years and has two wonderful children, Connor and Janelle (both Kingdom Kids alumni). Trich feels it is her privilege to serve alongside the wonderful staff and families that attend Kingdom Kids Weekday Preschool.
Renee Nelson
Children's Ministry Assistant Renee grew up in Allen before she came to A&M where she graduated in '07. She is currently working in our Saturday night ministry, SHOUT. Renee’ has a degree in sociology and has a gift for working with children. Renee’s gifts are leading her to a life of ministry and she will be continuing at GBC next fall in the College Intern program.
