In a broad sense, “worship” includes everything that declares God’s “worth.” When we gather on Sunday morning as a church family, that takes various forms such as serving others, exploring the Word of God, sharing Christ with non-believers, and declaring His praises together.
The focus of the GBC Worship Team is to lead our people in vibrantly proclaiming God’s glory through musical praise and worship. We believe that every participant in this musical team is, in essence, a worship leader…and we lead by coming together to pursue Him, to enter into His throne room to worship Him, and to invite the whole church family to join us there. We are not concerned with giving a performance, but with presenting an offering to God which is as reflective as possible of His beauty and majesty. The whole body of Christ gathered for worship at Grace is seen as investing in that offering together with us as we “bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord.”
This vision doesn’t stop at our doors, however, as we are also sensing that God is leading us to take the ministry of praise and worship out into the world around us. Ultimately, we envision our musicians serving alongside GBC missionaries throughout the world.
You won’t be around Grace very long before you will notice something unique about The Worship Team. In a very purposeful way, this ministry reflects Grace’s “every member a minister” philosophy. Men and women from every walk of life participate in and fill leadership roles in various ways. This includes the people who serve “behind the scenes,” working in our sound booth or running our slides. Everyone is seen as an integral part of the overall goal of enhancing the worship of the whole church family.
No one serves as the “minister of music,” and consequently, our team and music have a personality and flavor that is completely unique to what God is doing at GBC. Here are some of the ways that you can make your vocal, instrumental, or support talents available for God’s use in The Worship Team of Grace Bible Church…
Audio/Video Vital in their role of ensuring the overall quality of Grace’s worship services, these dedicated servants allow the worship leading ensembles and Bible teachers to focus on their message without being distracted by techincal problems or interruptions. The congregation is also free to worship without visible or audible distractions, greatly enhancing the overall worship experience. Training is provided for those interested in becoming a sound or video projection operator. Contact

Vocalists The ensemble of adult voices on Sundays is our primary vocal group. As planned or needed, the group will prepare for the weekly praise and worship time, prepare selections for special presentations, and work on music for ministry outside of the context of Grace’s Sunday morning worship. Sunday morning soloists come out of this group. New faces and voices, with a passion for ministering through the beauty of music, are always welcome. Formal voice instruction is not a requirement. Instrumentalists The bands at Grace are made up of guitar, bass, piano, percussion and keyboard. Other instruments are always a possibility, as the Lord brings various musicians into the church family. Auditions are held in order to assist in placement according to ability and style. Whatever your instrument, we’re interested in praying about your part on the team! Contact
