Combined & Separate - Newlyweds and Young Marrieds On a typical Sunday, the group will meet in the Fireside room for general announcements and information. Afterwards, the class splits between Newlyweds (those couples who have been married less than 1 year) and Young Marrieds (couples who have been married more than 1 year). Different curriculums are taught but the class meets and socializes as a whole.
The decision to join the Newlyweds or Young Marrieds group is one that is largely left to the couple to decide. We obviously strongly encourage younger couples to attend the Newlywed group but also recognize that each couple will have different needs.
Mentor couples In addition to newlywed and young married couples, there are also mentor couples who, well, mentor the group. Mentor couples are couples who have been married for a number of years and have weathered the many challenges that marriage can bring. These couples serve as teachers for the two groups and are generally available to mentor couples in their growth, both in marriage and in Christ. The couples also strongly desire to be approached to help on tough issues that you are going through. They are here to build relationships and impact marriages, not simply to teach. Take these amazing couples up on their willingness to be available!
