“Adopted by the King”

Romans 8:14-27

The Holy Spirit reminds us of the blessings of adoption that we possess as children of God through Jesus Christ. He helps us to remember that there are still many heavenly blessings to come and He teaches us to know God while we wait for Christ's return.

The Holy Spirit:

I. Assures Us We Are God’s Children (14-17).

II. Reminds Us There Is More to Come (18-25).

For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
