Why North Africa/Tradewinds?
The region in which we work, while rich in ancient Christian history, is now predominantly Muslim. The work there is progressing very slowly, because the Muslim world is a difficult area to reach with the gospel. But, due to changes in the sociopolitical climate, and the movement of God's Spirit, we are seeing the Lord soften hearts... perhaps more than ever before! Your time will be spent meeting college-age students at local cafes in the main part of town. The students in this part of the world are very interested in meeting and talking to Americans, which naturally presents a relational opening for the gospel. The pump is primed in this region to talk about the purpose of life and where we find our ultimate source of hope and security. The people are warm, friendly, and easy to love, and the culture is rich. Your time in North Africa/Tradewinds will be challenging, fun, and extremely rewarding.
The dates for the 2018/2019 North Africa/Tradewinds Vision Trip will be announced in October 2018. Applications and references are due on October 15, 2018. Contact Marty Scott for more details.
