Tyler graduated from Cypress Woods High School in Cypress, Texas in 2012 and went on to college at Texas A&M where he planned on pursuing a degree in Kinesiology in order to become a physical therapist. During the beginning of his freshman year of college, Tyler finally began to grasp the weight of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and the love God had for him. This led to a life change and direction which resulted in him switching majors and ultimately graduating with a degree in Psychology in 2016. Tyler was involved in various organizations during his time at A&M including F.L.iC. (Freshman Leaders in Christ) and Impact. These organizations allowed Tyler to grow and develop as a leader and also to mature in his faith. Tyler also served as a student ministry intern at a church in Houston, Texas during the summers of 2014 and 2015 and through this time he began to understand what it meant to be in ministry full time; it also increased his desire to continue and press forward into vocational ministry.
As a Fellow, Tyler will be serving the 9th and 10th grade guys at the Anderson campus as a part of the Youth Staff there. He will focus on pouring into these young men as well as their college small group leaders. Tyler desires to point these 9th and 10th grade guys to Christ and show them that true satisfaction and joy only come from the Lord and serving Him in every facet of their lives.
