David grew up in Mesquite, which is a suburb on the east side of Dallas. While attending Texas A&M University, David majored in Philosophy where he grew to find common ground with those of different worldviews, articulate what he believes, and cultivate a passion for engaging those who don't know Christ. As he attended A&M, he became an active leader in Youth Impact; a local outreach ministry to local at-risk students and low-income families. These years where pivotal for David as he learned how to share his faith and life with others who have different cultural backgrounds.
In August 2015, David will be co-leading college students in Growth Groups Bible Studies. He hopes to lead others in submitting all of life to the lordship of Christ, recognizing the reality and relevance of the Christian faith, and cultivating compassion for those who don't yet know Christ. His goal is to reengineer a style of discipleship within Growth Groups with an eye for the local community. Some ways of doing this are: building relationships with local ministries and giving college students tools to reach out to those already in their lives.
After students leave College Station, David hopes their experience at Grace will cultivate a compassion for the lost and confidence in God’s saving power that spurs them to do His work and share His message for a lifetime.
