Pastors
Jason Wiesepape
Associate Pastor, Southwood Campus
“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13
The driving force behind Jason’s ministry is to 1) exalt God by doing ministry according to God’s Word and His purpose for His glory, 2) edify believers by teaching, discipling, shepherding and equipping them with the whole counsel of God in love, so that they can live and minister to others in the likeness of Christ, and 3) evangelize the lost by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ both in word and in deed, in all the world.
Jason graduated from Texas A&M in 1998 with a Finance degree. Immediately upon graduation Jason married Jamie Smith from Cypress, TX. Jamie loves and models Christ well through her gifts of mercy and hospitality. Jason considers Jamie, outside of the incarnation of Jesus Christ, the greatest physical manifestation of God’s grace in his life.
Although his initial vocational path led him to Enron in Houston, TX, Jason accepted an opportunity to serve as a youth pastor at Grace Bible Church in Dallas, TX. It was during this time at Enron and GBC Dallas that he became convinced that his gifting and passion were in full-time vocational ministry.
Jason received his THM from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2006. He has served as a youth pastor, adult Sunday school leader/teacher and deacon at Grace Bible Church, Dallas, and as the Research Assistant to the President of Dallas Theological Seminary. He also brings significant work experience from the financial world.
The Lord has blessed Jason and Jamie with three children, Samuel (2004), Anna Beth (2006), and Ella Grace (2009). The Wiesepape family is excited about how God is moving at and through Grace Bible Church, and feel privileged to be a part of His work.
